Therefore it's not unusual to see the general members and lower officers surpass the leader in things like glory & looting. Not true in all cases since delegation can take care of some of that, but I bet a large number of our server's leaders know exactly what I'm talking about. The leader of a large alliance can spend countless hours a week on organizational tasks, messages, server drama, etc., that general members don't even have to worry about. Keep in mind that as your alliance grows and becomes a larger presence on the server, things become more complicated. The Best part of it is that he/she should be wise. What I say is that the leader has to be the strongest, donate the most, always have the most loot every week, the most honor, the highest title, and a bunch more. If you want good succession plan then do only deputies who you are okay with being leader.Īnd if noone is worth being deputy then join a bigger alliance Just because your leader didn't use alliance ranks well doesnt' mean they need to reprogram the game. Used to be that is what general meant, then they added all these general+ ranks. and you know what it meant? it meant if leader isn't here everyone knows who is in charge. I was the only deputy at my alliance for a long time. If only one player is worth promoting to deputy why have lots? Of course, if there are no Deputies, then regular members will need to vote. That can lead to a player being chosen who will not be a very good leader, just because the majority of voters where people who hadn't had time to get to know the candidates. It will help cut down on the 'noob alliance member' voting, in which an inexperienced player just votes for whichever name they think is the coolest. Success is determined by the amount of effort you are willing to put in"Īnyway, in all seriousness, I agree with whoever said it should be a vote, but voters should be limited to the three highest ranks, in my opinion. As a non-ruby player, I managed to create and nurture not one but two of the most successful alliance families in International 2. Never pass the blame, fight hard to succeed.
